As our business interests span both Australia and New Zealand, rest assured that when dealing with your personal information, and dependent on your location, we comply with both the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. 

This policy sets out how we collect, use, disclose and look after your personal information that has been collected.  

We may modify this policy from time to time but will post the updated version on www.thebusiness apprenticeship.co.nz (Website).  The change will apply from the date we upload the revised policy to the Website.  By continuing to use the Website or by purchasing any of our services you consent to these modifications or amendments.

Who do we collect your personal information from?

We collect information from you when you register or create an account on our Website, place an order, participate in a course, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us for information about our services or when you contact us for any purpose.  

We may also collect personal information about you from third parties where you have authorised this or the information is publicly available.  If possible, we will collect personal information from you directly.

How do we protect your information?

We will take reasonable steps to keep your personal information is safe from loss, unauthorised activity, or other misuse.  We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Our courses and Website is hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (Thinkific). Thinkific provides the online course creation platform that allows us to sell our services to you.  Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. How do you process payments?

If you make a purchase on our Website, we use a third party payment processor called Stripe. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). In particular, your credit card information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements. 

Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

Do we use cookies?

Yes - Cookies are small files that our Website or our service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow this) that enables our Website or service providers systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information.

How can you access/amend your personal information?

You may also amend your personal information associated with your account by updating your account details.

If you request access to, or a copy of, your personal information, we will provide you with a copy of the personal information we keep about you. However, we reserve the right to charge you a reasonable amount for providing copies of any personal information you request, to take into account the time, cost and effort involved.

If you request a correction to your personal information and we agree that your personal information needs correcting, an amended record of your personal information will be provided back to you.
